Should young children peddle Watchtower Society literature?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inone thing i always disliked about the watchtower society is how they use young children tp peddle their literature.
my mom insisted that my brother (12 years old) and i (9 years old) go out in field service every saturday morning.
didn't matter if it was 90 degrees or 20 degrees, we were out peddling watchtower magazines.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Force Their Children to Adopt Their Faith?
No, because worshipping God is a personal decision. (Romans 14:12) Jehovah’s Witnesses teach their children Bible principles, but when the children grow older, each one must decide for himself whether he will become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.—Romans 12:2; Galatians 6:5.
Like most parents, Jehovah’s Witnesses want the best for their children. They teach their children what they think will benefit them: practical skills, as well as moral principles and religious beliefs. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Bible promotes the best way of life, so they try to instill its values in their children by studying the Bible with them and attending Christian meetings together. (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7) Each child, when he grows older, can then make an informed decision about whether to adopt his parents’ faith.

When my older brother had children, he had his son summer pioneer at 12 years old. Forget about my nephew taking his summer vacation and doing normal summer activities. He was in a car group peddling magazines. My brother didn't find anything wrong with it. I thought that it was mild child abuse!
At what age were you out peddling literature? Do you feel that the Society use children preaching as a form of mind control?

No rational reasoning with cult elders
by UnshackleTheChains inhttps://youtu.be/elm5y8t3pjs.
this is why i can't in good conscience go back to the organisation.
you are pressured to bring others into the cult and then for them to wake up and find they are caught in a web of rules and policies such as shunning.

Weasel words.
Lawyer was great in calling out the artificial distinction between disassociation and being inactive, and pointing out the fact that inactive people are also shunned, people who never disassociated from the organization.
They never answered the question and should've been held in contempt of court.Obfuscate
Obfuscate means to make obscure or unclear. It is the concealment of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, intentionally ambiguous, and difficult to interpret. It can be deliberate confusing in order to conceal the truth.

"Jehovah's Witnesses have 'love' on their lips, but NONE in their hearts!"
My old congregation had 5 elders. One was a bully and the 800lb. gorilla. He would push the whole congregation and elders around. They would constantly fight over large issues and petty issues. Here are two verbal fights he had with the other elders while the congregation meetings were in session: ( elder # 1 is the bully )
While elder # 1 was giving a talk ( heavy rain storms are brewing outside, with loud thunder and lightning ) the microphones and lights are knocked out. We lost all power and could barely see. Elder # 1 yells out (after waiting in the dark for several minutes), '' We have an electrician in the house and it looks like he's just sitting there and not doing anything to see what he can do to fix the problem.'' elder # 4 ( an electrician ) yell backs angrily at elder #1 '' The transformer is down. What would you like me to fix?"
Elder # 4 is giving a 5 minute question and answer talk at the Ministry School. Elder # 1 is called on to answer the first question. He gives a 3 minute answer which covers the whole question and answer talk. Elder # 4 says to elder # 1, ''If you want, you can come up here and finish my talk."

STUDY ARTICLE 13
Love One Another Intensely
If we have intense “love for the whole association of brothers,” we will avoid being partial
7 Jesus urged us to keep treating others the way we want to be treated. He added that we should not limit our love only to those who show love in return. (Luke 6:31-33) Though it would be unusual, what if someone in the congregation avoids you and refuses to greet you? That is what Lara experienced. She explains: “A sister ignored me, and I did not know why. I felt tense and did not enjoy going to the meetings.” At first, Lara reasoned: ‘I am not at fault. After all, others in the congregation also feel that this sister behaves strangely.’
19 We have examined how having intense love for one another can help us to be peacemakers, to be impartial, and to be hospitable. We must overcome any negative feelings and love our brothers and sisters intensely from the heart. If we do, we will be happy and we will prove that we really are Jesus’ disciples.—John 13:17, 35.
A whole study article had to be written about loving one another, being impartial and being hospitable towards members in every Kingdom Hall. But aren't these practiced in every congregation? I don't think so!
The study article photo (above) is not an exaggeration. Who has time to talk to elderly Joe who is old and boring? There are so many cliques inside the Kingdom Hall, you cannot count all of them. You have the young teen cliques, the elder wives cliques, the married couples cliques, the pioneer cliques and the elder cliques. You're out of luck if you happen to be a single male/female or a married brother/sister who attends the meeting by themselves because of an unbelieving mate. How many times were you not greeted or invited to an occasion by your loving congregation members?
The article forgets to mention all the drama, backstabbing, rumors, divorces, verbal fights, heated words, conflicts, shady business practices inside the Kingdom Halls, loans that are never paid in full and infighting for power control of the local Kingdom Hall.

I only woke up this year after a lifetime of JW life.
WELCOME!
After 40 years in, I witnessed all the drama, backstabbing, rumors, divorces, cheating, a physical fight inside the Kingdom Hall, spankings of small children where no one said a word, members who would change congregations due to conflicts with Elders, heated words on the podium from one Elder to another Elder, spousal abuse, disfellowshipping of a sister who changed her mind at the last moment not to get married, brothers (who were contractors )who were shady even to fellow members, Elders who favored family when it came down to appointments for Ministerial Servants and new Elders, loans that were never paid to fellow members ...where Elders had to step in, Elder wives knowing everything that was happening in the congregation, members who took and sold drugs, and alcoholics.

He was one of those guys that needed to be right all the time
loved being an elder
raised in southern California to domineering Mothers and pussy wiped Fathers
Roy was a male chauvinist and made sure everyone knew he was "the head" of the house
He was waiting for "the end" to comeRoy had many choices in his life. He sounds like someone who was sure of himself, and travelled in only one direction. That's what he chose, and that is fine with me. I chose a different path when I knew the whole Jehovah's Witness religion was a lie. It came down to my mental state. I had to choose my mental well being. Stay and suffer, or leave and suffer all the consequences that comes with leaving the Jehovah's Witness religion!

Bad Boy
You have three choices once you become a member of the Jehovah's Witness religion:
1. You wake up and see all the lies, false doctrines and leave
2. You know the lies, false doctrines, but decide to stay due to family and friends. You become PIMO
3. You believe the Governing Body is the spokesman for Jehovah that you become so brainwashed, to the point of sacrificing relationships for this cult, and wait a whole lifetime with broken promises for ''the end'' to come... only it is your life that will end.
Roy chose # 3. I chose # 1. If Roy was happy with # 3, who are we to judge him!
